Dan Pomerenk is the Conservation Easement Program Specialist in the Department of Natural Resources’s (DNR) Small Forest Landowner Office. He is a native of the Portland-Vancouver area and graduated from Centralia Community College with an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Forest Technology in 1986. During college he worked for DNR as a seasonal firefighter then got a permanent job as a Forest Technician for DNR in Issaquah in 1987. He also worked in the Stevenson and then the Belfair area as a DNR forester until getting a job with the Small Forest Landowner Office in 2002. In his career with the DNR, Dan has worked in timber management, silvicultural programs, recreation site maintenance, forest practices, stewardship forestry, fire prevention, and fire suppression.
