Ken and Bonnie Miller, who own The Miller Tree Farm located in Grays Harbor and Thurston counties, have won the 2013 Washington Tree Farmer of the Year award.
The award is administered by the Washington Tree Farm Program, a group of small forest landowners, and is based on the farmer’s stewardship, management plan, timber health, innovation, and community involvement.
Ken and Bonnie are always generous in sharing their Tree Farm with others to host events and have spent numerous hours reviving the South Sound Chapter of Washington Farm Forestry Association (WFFA). Ken served as the WFFA State President and currently serves on the Small Forest Landowner Advisory Committee. They will go on to compete for Regional Tree Farmer of the Year next year.
