Upcoming Forest Stewardship Classes

WSU Extension has some great classes lined up for you to kick off 2013. A couple of these are coming up in just a few weeks – so be sure to get signed up!

Chainsaw Safety and Maintenance – January 19 in Everett
This workshop, led by an expert safety educator from Stihl Northwest, includes instruction on basic chainsaw operation safety, safety gear and equipment, and hands-on segment on proper maintenance (bring your saw). Information and registration is available at 425-357-6023 or by clicking here.

Coached Planning Course – Everett
This coached planning course will run every Thursday evening February 28 – April 25, from 6:30-9:30pm. Open to all, this program is designed to help forest landowners develop customized management solutions to meet their own unique ownership objectives. Whether you own 5, 50, 100, or 500 acres of forest, if you want to expand your knowledge, tools, and confidence for managing your forestland, this course is for you. Western Washington Forest Stewardship Coached Planning – Online
This online class will run every Wednesday evening January 16 – February 27 from 6:00-9:00pm. This course will be offered via live, interactive webinars (high-speed connection required) for those with property anywhere in Western Washington. As with our regular in-person class, this will include maps, a site visit, and a notebook of materials. It also includes admission to the Summer 2013 Forest Owners Field Day.
