DNR and Northwest Natural Resource Group are working together to provide landowners with access to Forest Stewardship Council™ (FSC®) certification. FSC is a market-based, voluntary system that supports you in managing your forest to meet a balance of economic and environmental goals. FSC also provides consumers with a way to support your sustainable forestry practices with their purchasing decisions. In recent years FSC markets in the Pacific Northwest have grown, with dozens of Northwest retailers now carrying FSC products.

Looking to 2013, you may be wondering: Is FSC certification right for my family forest?

The Northwest Natural Resource Group’s Northwest Certified Forestry program is ready to answer your questions and sign landowners up for three types of projects for 2013. Click below to find out more about each one.

1. FSC certification

2. Ecological thinning

3. EQIP cost-share
