U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service News Bulletin: Public Comment Period Extended for Revised Northern Spotted Owl Crticial Habitat Designation

In our last newsletter we announced the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) is requesting comments on a revised northern spotted owl critical habitat designation. The proposed designation was published in the Federal Register on March 8, 2012. The public comment period has been extended from June 6, 2012 to July 6, 2012. The USFWS is extending the public comment period to allow all interested parties an opportunity to comment simultaneously on the proposed revised critical habitat rule. Comments previously submitted need not be resubmitted and will be fully considered in preparation of the final rule.
